New Jammies

After his bath, I put him in his new pajamas that I bought at Belks last weekend. He is so adorable in them! He was still munching on "Turtle Toes" when I took this shot.

Playin' with sand

Tonight we had Zack over for dinner and I made spaghetti and salad and homemade bread. Then, Brent, Zack, and Daniel left to go to a poker night, leaving me to hang out with my favorite "wee man." I went to the library today after my dentist appointment and got another "Young at Art" box. This one was called "Play with Sand." It came with measuring cups, a plastic tablecloth, and blue and pink sand (that is non-toxic of course!). We had so much fun! Micah enjoyed the texture of the sand on his toes while we listened to jazz music. Of course we made a huge mess and he went straight into the bath tub. After that, we sang and danced to some music and then I put him in bed. Oh, how I love that boy! I now know what it feels like to have your heart beating outside of your body and I thank God every day for him!!!!

Look at these toes!!!!

Museum without Walls

When I was at the library, I noticed they had advertising for a "Young at Art" program for babies up to 12 months. There are 15 kits that families can check out with things to play with and music to sing along to. So much fun! I guess Micah was the first to check out a kit because there were 15 boxes to choose from. This week was "Play with Balls." We have been talking about different textures and colors. With the smaller ball, I rolled it to him and he was rolling it back to me and laughing!

I left the room for a minute and heard a cry of frustration. This is what I saw! Micah-you need to learn how to crawl!

Perfect Sunday weather

This Sunday, the weather was so mild and warm. Micah and I had been inside a lot this week because of the chilly temps so it was nice to get some fresh air. I desperately needed to clean my flower beds and Brent needed to rake leaves, so we put Micah on a quilt with some toys. After all our hard work, we brought ice cream over to the neighbors, who had also been doing yard work. What a nice way to end the weekend!

At Hobby Lobby, I bought Micah a tub of cookie cutters which he has been enjoying. I can't wait to make sandwiches in dinosaur shapes!

O Christmas Tree

This is Micah's first Christmas tree! We took pictures of him sitting by it, and he kept looking up at the pretty lights and ornaments. Family traditions have so much more meaning with a child to share it with!
